Sanguis Potestas Est

Seems I had some business to attend to…

Why are you being so nice to be dear brother? I’m not here to make friends, I am here……. Well I do not know why I am here but that is besides the point. I am already smarter than all the other humans.

Do I really need an ulterior motive to be nice to you, sister? Would you rather I be nasty to you? As for the other humans, be that as it may, you still have to mingle. Get used to this world and everything that comes with it.

Oh dear brother I already am. You just have yet to see. I don’t know, Rebekah usually does everything for me. There are other children there, they are loud and annoy me.

I’m sure I’ll see it soon enough. While Rebekah is gone, I will provide for you. And those are other students love, they might be annoying, but you must treat them like you’re one of them. Blend in, try to make new friends.

I guess you are right dear brother. How did you become so smart? I guess, but I mean do I have to go back to that dreadful school tomorrow?

Years and years of learning, sweetling. You’ll catch on. And yes, you do have to go to school. How else will you learn and be just and smart and cunning as I am? Now… what type of blood would you like? I’ll have the fridge stocked with blood from the hospital so you never run out.

No it is not good. She seems to be either into something or on to something and will not me in on it. Sound familiar dear brother? No. Rebekah usually kills for me. She says I am to young….

Sometimes there are things a young girl, such as yourself, shouldn’t be involved with, Emmy. I’m sure Rebekah will come along soon enough. Now, why don’t I get you something to eat, yeah? You must be starving.

I guess, Rebekah was here for some of it… But I don’t know where she went.

Rebekah returned, did she? Then scampered off again. Hmm, that’s not good at all, is it? Have you been feeding?

Brother, I did.

As I missed you, dear sister. I trust you fared well in my absence?

Anyone miss me?

Emeline looked over as his brother looked towards Caroline. She was not stupid, she picked up on things, she could feel things that were going on around her. Emeline looked over giving her a smile. Caroline had only been nice to her. “You like her?” The young girl questioned to her much older brother.

“It’s okay, you can tell me, I won’t tell anyone. I’m really good at keeping secrets.” Emeline said grabbing her brothers hand, not wanting to leave his side.

“Very astute, sister,” Klaus said, then stood up, feeling himself close off from his youngest sister. Klaus and his feelings were something he buried deep. If it didn’t have anything to do with his family or his hybrids, Klaus tried not to show any interest. After all, feelings were a weakness, love was a weakness, and Klaus didn’t like to seem weak.

“There isn’t a secret to keep. I fancy her, yes. But it doesn’t go passed physical attraction. Something you know not about.”

Sophia didn’t know what to believe. She was confused, beyond compare. She bit her bottom lip, trying to decide whether or not she should trust him. Sophia was so naive, but yet so strong. She closed her eyes, before nodding her head. “Alright, I believe you.” She tried, giving a small smile. “Sorry for doubting you then. I suppose I listen to what people say.” She explains, letting her arms drop to her sides.

Sophia wasn’t sure, but she had a gut feeling he was lying. Call her crazy, but she didn’t know what these people were talking about. Klaus seemed nice, polite even. “You honestly offer me protection?” She asked, curious.

“It’s all right, love,” he smiled at her, then picked up a new plastic cup, filling it up for before handing it over to the girl beside him. “It’s completely understandable. I won’t deny what I’ve done before, but I’m turning over a new leaf. Starting fresh, yeah?” he said, then raised his red plastic cup, clicking it against hers. He knew he was probably taking this lie too far, but he was in a good mood. He’d had a taste of Caroline, he had a new doppelganger, more Hybrids to come… what more could Klaus want?

Nothing.

“I offer you complete asylum,” he nodded once after taking a sip of his beer. “No harm shall come to you. You have my word.” One thing this girl didn’t know about Klaus, was he was much like Elijah. Klaus kept his word, held it high above anything else. However, he was good at finding loopholes.

Party Time

She sighed, finally settling into his bare chest. This was the most comfortable she had been in a terribly long time. She felt…satisfied. His body was warm next to her, her eyelashes fluttering against his cheek as she let a small smile play once more across his lips. He didn’t seem uncomfortable, instead, wholly in his element. She didn’t feel like this was natural for him, yet here he was appeasing her. She kissed his cheek lightly, wanting him to say something, she didn’t want to be the one to break the silence between them.

He bit his wrist, leaving a clear bit of blood running forth that brought her vampire senses to the forefront of her being. She did as he told her, taking in his blood as her own. Then, as the sharing was over, she nestled back into the warmth of his body, “Now what…”

“Now, we get you back to your friends,” he told her factually, then sat up, grabbing for his pants on the floor. He’d had enough cuddling, enough… feeling for one evening. He’d never stop wanting Caroline, always and forever, but he didn’t want the emotion that could potentially develop.

“Can’t let them know you’ve slept with the enemy, yeah?” he said as he pulled his pants up, doing the zipper and button up, then turned towards her, a cocksure smile on his face. He knew he was being a jerk, and he could quite possibly be ruining his chances with her, but she had to know that he was who he was. He wasn’t going to change, simply because she’d offered herself up to him. “It’ll be our little secret. My bed is always open for you, whenever you want seconds, though.”
